Please contact our receptionist for further details.

Medicare Rebates

Medicare offer rebates for clients who are referred by a GP, psychiatrist or pediatrician under a Mental Health Care Plan. Rebates are $124.50 per 50-minute hour. Medicare offer 10 individual sessions per calendar year and up to 10 group therapy sessions, where appropriate. After six sessions you will need to see your GP again to evaluate whether the additional four sessions are required. Medicare does not currently offer rebates for clients who wish to skype due to geographical location.

Seeing a Clinical Psychologist ensures you receive the highest possible rebate from Medicare.

Gateway offers the convenience of HICAPS technology, which means that Medicare/private health cover rebates can be credited to your bank account at the time of consultation.

Private Health Insurance

Most private health insurers offer rebates on psychological services. Rebates will vary based on your level of cover. Most private health fund rebates are also processed at the time of consultation. Please note you cannot use your private health insurance to top up the medicare rebates for these services. You will need to decide if you will use medicare or your private health cover to pay for psychological services.

Neuropsychological Services

Fees depend on the nature and duration of the assessment. Please contact the clinic to discuss this further.

Cancellation Policy

Please read this cancellation policy carefully before you book your appointment.  It is important that you understand this policy and that you are comfortable with it before proceeding with your appointment.

When appointments are booked, the psychologist reserves the whole hour especially for you. Appointments at this clinic are in high demand and a late cancelled appointment is a loss to the psychologist, who has spent time preparing for your session, another client who is on a wait list and urgently waiting to see the psychologist, and the client, who is delaying treatment progress.

Therefore, the following cancellation policy is in place. In accordance with recommendations by the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the cancellation fees are;

0 – 24 hours notice – 100% of the full appointment fee is required

24-48 hours notice – 50% of the full appointment fee is required

Please note that cancellation fees cannot be claimed through private health insurance, Medicare, DVA, Work Cover or the Insurance Commission of WA. You are solely responsible to pay the full cancellation cost.

To assist you in attending the appointment we also send out a reminder SMS with the date and time of your consultation 48 hours prior to the appointment.

In accordance with the cancellation fee we require your credit card details to hold your appointment. Should you fail to cancel your appointment within the specified timeframe your credit card will be debited the cancellation fee.

Thank you for assisting us ensure that everyone receives access to treatment.
